Hello everyone!  Well, today is Philip’s 9th birthday.  I can’t believe it.  It seems like yesterday I was holding him in my hands and he was looking up at me with that one eye.  God is so good.

Philip got the surprise of his life with a birthday party yesterday.  I hope he’ll never forget it!  He kept exclaiming, “This is the best birthday of my life!”  I am so grateful for his life.  If you remember, this time last year, we wanted Philip to have his party at Chuck E.Cheese, knowing that he would not enjoy the foods he loves after his nasopharyngeal flap on 8/7/08.  As you may recall, we almost lost Philip on the operating table that day.  But what the devil meant for evil, my God meant for good!!

Philip has a call and a purpose in his life.  Please pray that your part and our part to help him fulfill God’s purpose is done well.  Be encouraged.  Thank you so much for the love and support and prayers on his behalf.  Remember all our Love Without Reason children in prayer!

Peacemaker or Problemmaker?

Filed Under (Blogs) by Susan on 13-07-2009

Last Sunday at our church, we heard a ‘warning’ from a minister who had been visiting our church for a few days.  His message was simply, “Blessed are the Peacemakers.”  It was a simple message, yet one that I needed to apply myself to my life.  We should have peace in our lives.  We should also be peacemakers in others’  lives.  Satan does not want us to live peacefully.  In our families, churches, communities, Satan works so that we lose our peace.  This is not the call from God for our lives.

Anyway, it did motivate me to pray over myself to live in peace with others.  It’s relatively easy to be at peace with those you love.  However, to be at peace with strangers or people you know, yet you don’t agree with,  now that can be difficult to achieve.  Matthew 5:9 says that the peacemakers are “blessed”  and are the “sons of God.”  It’s interesting that when you have such a desire to draw closer to God, or to be obedient to God,  that’s when the testing begins!

The pastor concluded with a prophetic word for the church saying that two times the enemy has tried to destroy our church.  But the Lord heard the cry of the intercessors who were praying on their knees interceding on behalf of the church.  Please keep us in prayer as a body of believers. The signs of the enemy here and there confirm to me that our prayers are working.  We will not stop in interceding on behalf of our pastor, our leaders, and our members and our youth and children.

Take a stand for yourself..  Are you a peacemaker or a problemmaker?

Perspectives (IV)

To continue and conclude on the results of the mission trip to Guatemala, here’s the most important information!!  During the time of door to door ministry, and 3 nights of evangelical meetings, 173 people came to know the Lord as their personal Savior.

PRAISE GOD!!!

I remember when we were sent off from our church in Chattanooga, our Pastor Babu said,” I’m praying that 50 souls will be saved through this trip!”  God, once again, goes above and beyond what we ask or expect.  Definitely the seeds of the Gospel, of God’s love, were sown in Caparja and El Tesoro.  Now, please join us in praying that the seeds will bring forth fruit, even one hundred fold!!  Pray for Pastor Jaime, Pastor Donnello, Pastor Diego and Pastor David and their families, as they continue to lead their churches or their ministries.  May God help them also to grow closer to God and draw the people into God’s will and call for their lives.  We love you all and miss you much!!  God bless and protect you and yours.

I also had the opportunity to share Philip’s testimony on Wednesday night at Caparja.  Though I did not see any child or adult with craniofacial deformities, I know they are there.  If one in 800 children are born with a cleft lip or palate, those children are out there!!  I wanted the people to know that surgery to repair the clefts can be done easily and without many risks.  It is possible.  I also shared with them that children born with facial disfigurements are not stupid.  These children also have feelings, desires, dreams. We must find a way to help them.  So I put in a plug for LWR.  I asked Pastor Diego to let us know if there is any child who needs help.  Somehow, and one day LWR will provide the way for the surgical restoration for the children born with craniofacial birth defects.  Please pray that God would help us to move forward in His plan for this ministry.
